Holiday Wishes from our Creative Director Mark Farhat Giusti

As we approach Christmas and the end of 2025, I wanted to take a moment to pause and reflect on the year behind us , its highs and lows, its challenges, the lessons learned, and the milestones we’ve accomplished.

What a year it has been.

Running our first MARK / GIUSTI flagship and creative hub at Via Malpighi 7 has been one of my greatest achievements to date. It has pushed me far beyond what I ever thought I was capable of. Creating and running a space that is at once a store, a creative hub, a gallery, a workshop, and a living space for a community is not for the faint-hearted. It requires time, energy, patience, perseverance, planning, and a constant willingness to push boundaries.

But I can proudly say , we made it work, and we made it work beautifully.

This year we launched Giovedì da Giusti, our monthly community night ,  a moment to connect, to celebrate collaborations, new design set-ups at the House of MARK / GIUSTI, and to bring together existing clients while welcoming new ones. We also launched Coffee with Mark, my weekly Saturday Instagram Live, where I speak about art, design, and creativity, inviting collaborators, designers, and artists into conversation. What started quietly has grown more than I ever expected — and next year, I will be taking it to another level.

We experienced several collaborations this year, with our artisan, Apriti Moda, Gabriele La Teana, The Space by Shirin Ehya , Semple Brand, among others. Some collaborations came together effortlessly, almost overnight, in perfect synergy with our brand DNA and values. Others fell apart at the last moment, painful at the time, but with hindsight, a relief that some things are just not meant to be. I’ve learned that what is truly meant for you never needs to be forced. The right things fall into place naturally, like a glove.

I’ve always believed in trusting that first instinct — that initial gut feeling. This year confirmed that lesson once again.

We collaborated with Nay Lebanese Restaurant in milan, designing their hospitality sets, menus, and wallets, beautifully aligned with their interiors. And there is more to come next year , with them and with several other exciting projects.

We sold out completely of past collections and went on to launch four new capsule collections, with more already in development. From a sustainability perspective, I am especially proud to say that in 2025, 100% of our production was made using existing stock of leather and fabric accumulated over the years. Nearly 2,000 pieces were created this way, significantly reducing energy use, water consumption, and carbon emissions.

We also brought MARK / GIUSTI’s world to life through new campaigns and collaborations with Silvio Giammarco as our designated in-house photographer and resumed our work with our long standing videographer partner Matthew Miles, who beautifully translated our collections, DNA, and ethos into moving imagery.

This year taught me strength, perseverance, consistency, and patience. It pushed me far outside my comfort zone — and it is precisely in those moments that real growth happens, both personally and professionally.

I learned that to achieve results others don’t have, you must be willing to do what others won’t. The 5 a.m. wake-up calls. The late nights. The events you say no to. The weekends you stay in and work, the time away from your family and friends. All of these moments compound over time , like interest, and eventually, they pay back. Never apologise for doing what’s right for you. Not everyone will understand, and that’s okay. Only you can do you.

I write this having not taken a single full day off since the 24th of August, not even a weekend. I am tired, yes, and in need of rest. But it feels deeply satisfying. It feels earned.

I also learned to let go of situations and people that no longer belonged to me and to make space for souls and energies that nourish growth and peace. The things you lose makes space for you to welcome the much earned results.  I learned that distance doesn’t diminish love, and that the deepest connections pick up exactly where they left off. And I learned that, come rain or shine, your closest family and friends will always be there.

Letting go , not as giving up, but as surrender , is something I am still learning. That delicate balance between desire and trust. Between doing the work and allowing the universe to meet you halfway. As a Scorpio, it’s not always easy , I am passionate, driven, full of dreams. But this year taught me to trust myself more than ever. The universe truly is generous, when you believe and are willing to do the work.

So here’s to dreams, and to more of them becoming reality. Because every great accomplishment once began as a dream. Never stop dreaming of love, peace, happiness, clarity, growth, healing, patience, perseverance, and kindness. Dream boldly, personally and professionally and don’t let anyone tell you , that you can’t achieve them.

From all of us at MARK / GIUSTI, thank you, for your trust, your support, and for believing in what we do. You make this journey possible, and deeply worthwhile.

I wish you and your loved ones a Christmas filled with warmth, and a prosperous New Year !

With love, light and kindness
