From Casa Giusti to AVANI  Hotel Collaboration at Palazzo Moscova

For Milan Design Week 2026, I wanted to create something that goes beyond an installation — something that lives, evolves, and connects.

Today, I am proud to share the final programme of experiences for
Li Beirut: Between Shadow and Light, presented at The House of MARK / GIUSTI, in the heart of the Porta Venezia Design District, Milan.

From 21 to 27 April 2026, the space will transform into a living, breathing environment  where art, design, craftsmanship, community, sustainability, and cultural dialogue come together.

Each day will carry a different energy. Each moment will offer a new way to experience Beirut — not just as a place, but as a feeling. This is not a static exhibition. It is a journey.

The Concept | A Living Memory of Beirut

Li Beirut: Between Shadow and Light is a contemporary reinterpretation of a traditional Beirut living room.

A space shaped by memory, material, light, and emotion.

Through:

• Sculptural works by Youssef El Hady (YEH Studios)
• A site-specific architectural installation by Rami Lazkani
• The integration of MARK / GIUSTI handcrafted leather goods rooted in mosaic heritage
• Curated soundscapes and videoscapes
• Film excerpts by Lana Daher (Do You Love Me) and visual narratives by Joseph Hanna

The project explores how cultural identity, architecture, and craftsmanship can evolve without losing their essence.

Visitors are invited to move through a space that engages all senses. Scent, sound, light, shadow, and texture reflecting Beirut’s duality: fragility and resilience, beauty and imperfection.

20 April | Private View | An Intimate Opening

Before the doors open to the public, we will begin with a more intimate moment.

On 20 April 2026 at 18:30 , we will host the Private View of Li Beirut: Between Shadow and Light at Casa Giusti — a first encounter with the space, shared with a close circle of friends, collaborators, press, and members of our community.

For me, this evening is always one of the most meaningful moments of the entire week.

It is the moment where everything comes together for the first time. Where an idea becomes a space, where a vision becomes something tangible, where the energy of the people in the room begins to shape the life of the project.

The evening will unfold naturally with moments of conversation, quiet reflection, and shared presence allowing each guest to experience Li Beirut in their own way.

More than an opening, the Private View is a beginning. A moment to connect, to feel, and to set the tone for the days that follow.

21 April — Opening Day | Meet the Creators

The first encounter. An open moment where visitors step into the world of Li Beirut and experience the installation for the first time and meet the creators behind it.

A day dedicated to dialogue, discovery, and first impressions, where the story behind the project is shared directly with those who enter.

22 April  | The Art of Craftsmanship

At the heart of MARK / GIUSTI lies craftsmanship.

This day is dedicated to the process behind the product  where visitors can witness the transformation of raw materials into finished pieces.

Live demonstrations will showcase:

• Handcrafted leather techniques
• Mosaic-inspired embossing
• The precision and time behind each creation

A moment to slow down. To understand what true luxury means.

23 April | Giovedì da Giusti | Community Evening

Our monthly Giovedì da Giusti takes on a new dimension during Design Week.

An evening where:

• Art meets music
• Design meets conversation
• Strangers become community

Guests are invited to experience Casa Giusti as it was always intended not as a store, but as a home for ideas, connection, and exchange.

A relaxed yet curated atmosphere, where discovery happens naturally.

24 April | Live Art Performance | Rami Lazkani

A moment of transformation.

Rami Lazkani will reinterpret Lebanese architectural identity through a live artistic performance, inspired by the iconic arches and windows of Beirut.

Visitors will witness:

• The evolution of form in real time
• The dialogue between past and present
• The transformation of architecture into emotion

This is where the installation becomes alive.

25 April | Cultural Dialogue | Coffee with Mark

One of the most meaningful moments of the week.

A special edition of Coffee with Mark, reimagined as a cultural dialogue.

Moderated by Chady Richa (presenter and actor), the conversation will bring together:

• Mark Farhat Giusti
• Youssef El Hady
• Rami Lazkani

Together, we will explore:

• Beirut as identity and memory
• The role of design in preserving culture
• The intersection between architecture, craftsmanship, and storytelling.

This is not a formal talk. It is a shared moment of reflection from the heart to the heart.

Alongside this, we are honoured to host Joseph Hanna, renowned Lebanese videographer and producer, for a dedicated moment of exchange around visual storytelling and contemporary narrative.

26 April | Soundscapes of Beirut | Film, Sound & Memory

The closing chapter of the experience. A shift from form to feeling.

Casa Giusti will transform into an immersive sound and visual environment, capturing the emotional rhythm of Beirut.

In collaboration with Lana Daher, director of Do You Love Me, we will present:

• Exclusive excerpts of the film — shown for the first time within the space
• A curated soundscape inspired by Beirut
• A sensory journey through image, silence, and memory

This final day is not about explanation. It is about immersion.

AVANI Hote Collaboration at Palazzo Moscova

During Milan Design Week 2026, we are proud to extend the experience beyond Casa Giusti. At AVANI Hotel, we will present:

Journey To The World MARK / GIUSTI |  From Design to Artistic Masterpieces”

An installation exploring the evolution of the brand:

• From initial sketches
• To material research
• To final handcrafted pieces

A behind-the-scenes look into the creative process revealing how each piece becomes an Artistic Masterpiece.
