DISCOVER THE WORLD OF MARK/GIUSTI SS24 PRESENTATION
[Milan, September 19th, 2023] – MARK / GIUSTI, presented The World of MARK / GIUSTI on September 19th, 2023 during Milan Fashion Week. On this occasion we proudly introduced our latest collections and collaborations.
SS24 - ETERNAL WHISPERS OF AMALFI DREAMS: A Prelude to Amalfi Coast's Enchanting Elegance
This event unveiled an ethereal preview of our SS24 “Eternal Whispers of Amalfi Dreams” capsule collection, a poetic ode to the enchanting beauty of the Amalfi Coast. Mark Giusti explains: "The Amalfi coast is a realm that echoes of the authentic, spontaneous, and vibrant life of Italy. Memories of my mother's stories about Capri, Positano, Ravello, and Sorrento in her youth are woven into this collection's very fabric, an ode to the allure of those summers’ past. The magic of the moon lighting up the skies and sending sparkles to the diamond-crusted seas – shining all night on the Riviera – This is true magic."
Inspired by the mosaic tapestry of the Basilica di San Marco in Venice, this collection gently infuses a touch of quiet opulence into our core pieces, including the versatile Capri Tote - a companion for all hours, from bustling city streets to sun-drenched seaside escapes. In homage to the iconic destinations of the Amalfi Coast, the bags within the SS24 Eternal Whispers of Amalfi Dreams Collection bear names reminiscent of Capri, Positano, Ravello, and Sorrento, each echoing their unique allure.
The collection unfolds in a palette of timeless and elegant "Jet Black," harmoniously mingling with the depths of "Midnight Navy.” Furthermore, an exclusive "Ocean Blue" hue emerges, mirroring the enchanting hues of the Riviera Amalfitana, where clear waters meet cerulean skies in a magical embrace.
Every piece within the SS24 Eternal Whispers of Amalfi Dreams Collection is an embodiment of eco-conscious craftsmanship, lovingly crafted with vegetable-tanned leather, reaffirming our brand's unwavering commitment to sustainability, marking the path toward 100% Vegetable-tanned leather by the AW24-25 Collection.
AW23 – GREAT BRITISH SEASIDE: A Seaside Symphony
Step into the essence of the Great British Seaside (GBS) Collection, an ode to the picturesque landscapes and unique atmospheres of British coastal towns, which come to life through all four seasons.
This collection captures the dramatic landscape of the British seaside in winter, mirroring the magic of waves crashing against the shores of a secluded town. It is a reflection of pebbled stones, cloudy skies, and the symphony of seagulls echoing across the empty streets, combined with the anticipation of deserted coffee shops yearning for the warmth of summer. Just when it seemed a storm was brewing, the sun would burst through the clouds, painting smiles across the landscape.
This dynamic interplay of nature inspired every thread and detail of the GBS Collection.
Colours such as London Nights, Thames Blue, Midnight Navy, Summer Sky, and Seaside Stone have been carefully chosen to represent the varying moods of the British winter seaside. The linings of the GBS Collection draw inspiration from historic Roman mosaics in Pitney, Somerset, where geometric designs meet the colours of the British seaside, creating a distinctive pattern that adorns both the interior and exterior of the bags.
Collaboration with Mosaicist Francesco Parutto: Unveiling "Mosaico"
Witness the fusion of craftsmanship and artistry as MARK / GIUSTI unveils its collaboration with mosaicist Francesco Parutto. With over 15 years of experience in the Mosaic industry, Francesco breathes life into traditional methods, combining them with modernized techniques. His work, showcased in our "Mosaico" series, allows aficionados of both the brand and mosaic artistry to recreate MARK / GIUSTI Mosaic designs as exquisite floor mosaics and decorations, adding a touch of luxury to interior design projects.
Both designers have joined forces to re-create Mosaic frame samples inspired by the original Roman and Byzantine Mosaic masterpieces that transport you on a journey from ancient Constantinople via Venice to Ravenna through Rome and then back to London to the intricate floor pavement of Westminster Abbey on which no less than 38 kings and queens have been crowned - and soon to be crowned King Charles the III.
